Keep Your Head Up
One thing you should know about me, is that I am a strong believer in fairy tales. I used to believe that one day my future husband would magically pop back into my life and make everything happier. The truth is, you can’t find love until you love yourself first. The older I got the more I realized that many men and women don’t know who they really are. They allow all these broken souls into their hearts, just to realize that they, themselves, are broken. The truth is, it’s hard to love yourself. It’s hard to find out who you really are, because life can make you feel otherwise.
Take Your Time Beloved
My advice for the younger generations, learn to love who you really are. Look at all of your flaws, analyze the things that you admire about yourself versus the things you’d like to work on, literally sit down and talk to yourself. Seriously, talk to yourself. Have a full blown conversation with yourself. I know it may sound crazy but it’s not. Talking to yourself allows you to see what you really need to work on, realize your fears and see what you could have done to change the way a situation ended.
Self Love is the Best Love
Take the time today and for however much longer you need, to love yourself. Someone broke your heart? Put all that love and energy you put into them into yourself. It takes time to heal. It takes time to move on from that heartache with the person you thought you’d spend the rest of your life with, but you have to. Not for them, but for you. Make sure you take a day to yourself, a week, or even a month. Take the time to love who you are so when someone comes into your life, they add to it and not subtract from it.

Amaya Ritchwood
Hey ! My name is Amaya Ritchwood, I am a Sophomore Psychology major at the Delaware State University and I love animals with a STRONG passion. I've been writing for all of my life, it's something I'm innately good at doing. I love to give people inspiration, help others on their own journeys, and allow people to see the pain they need to heal from in order to grow (which is why I'm a Psych major ;) ). I'm a very polite and easy going person, those who know me well know that I'm good at advice as well. I hope these blogs allow you to see inside my mind, see what I see, and see what you yourself might want to work on.
